Toronto foot specialist reports Indian orthopedic foot surgeon uses Google glass during foot surgery

According to India Today, an orthopedic surgeon in Jaipur India wore Google glass during a foot and ankle surgical procedure on Saturday, January 11, 2014.
Google glass is a wearable computer that can allow a surgeon to look at an x-ray or M.R.I. without having to look away from the patient and can allow the procedure to be broadcast live on the Internet. A screen sits just in front of the users right eye. The unit can take videos and photographs to show the viewpoint of the person wearing it. The family of the patient could watch the procedure in real time.
This sounds like it could be potentially an excellent teaching tool. In theory, I could perform a Minimally Invasive Surgery for Bunion in my Toronto podiatry Office while surgeons in different parts of the world could observe and pick up some pointers without actually having to make the trip to Toronto.
Google glass is not yet currently being sold on the market, but I can hardly wait wait to try a pair.
